Business Development Manager – Broker Team
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a growing broker team within a specialist business lending company.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in commercial finance, business lending, financial services or a related brokerage environment who is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and supportive business.
The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and introducers, generating new business and helping clients access appropriate funding solutions.
You will take ownership of an active client base while also identifying and developing new broker relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial finance brokers and introducers.
* Develop new broker relationships and generate new business opportunities.
* Manage and grow an existing portfolio of broker clients.
* Understand clients' funding requirements and identify suitable lending solutions.
* Act as a key point of contact throughout the application and funding process.
* Meet with brokers and clients to develop relationships and identify opportunities.
* Provide a high level of service and become a trusted point of contact for your broker network.
* Work closely with internal teams to progress opportunities and maximise conversion.
* Maintain accurate CRM records and manage your pipeline effectively.
* Contribute to the continued growth and development of the broker division.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
* Experienced within commercial finance, business lending, financial services or financial brokerage.
* Confident dealing with brokers, introducers and commercial clients.
* Commercially minded with a strong focus on generating and converting new business.
* A natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills.
* Comfortable working to targets and managing a sales pipeline.
* Proactive, driven and motivated by achieving results.
* Able to understand and communicate financial products clearly.
* Keen to develop their career within the specialist lending sector.
Experience working on the brokerage or lender side of commercial finance would be particularly advantageous.
