Role Description
The Business Development Manager is a full-time role based in Rotherham. This role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and promoting BHI Supplies Ltd’s PPE and workwear solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating commercial terms. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are accurately captured, solutions are sourced effectively, and service delivery meets agreed expectations. The role also involves monitoring market trends, maintaining a strong sales pipeline, reporting on performance, and contributing to the company’s growth strategy.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals.
- Solid experience in account management, client relationship building, and delivering solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Knowledge of PPE, workwear, or related industrial supply sectors, with the ability to understand product features and value propositions.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both in person and via phone or video.
- Ability to analyze client requirements, interpret data or evidence, and support informed buying decisions.
- Strong self-organization, time management, and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency with CRM, ERP systems and office software.
- Proven experience in B2B sales & business development; experience in industrial or safety products is required.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
- Salary £30k per annum + aggressive uncapped commission structure.
