Business Services Director

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Services Director to join a leading and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Newcastle upon Tyne, offering flexible working, a strong company pension, and much more. You will play a pivotal role in leading the Business Services department, managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing a team of qualified and part-qualified staff, and contributing directly to the strategic direction of the firm.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

• Manage and develop a diverse portfolio of business services clients
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of qualified and part-qualified staff
• Review accounts, management information, and tax computations prepared by the team
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services
• Contribute to the strategic growth and direction of the department

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
• Proven experience at a senior or director level within an accountancy practice
• Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills
• Sound technical knowledge of UK GAAP and current tax legislation
