Buyer - Indirect Materials

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Buyer to manage the procurement of indirect materials and services for their operations in Wolverhampton . This role is key to ensuring the company has access to essential indirect goods and services at competitive prices, supporting various departments efficiently. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers for a diverse range of indirect spend, ensuring value for money and adherence to company standards. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end sourcing process for indirect spend categories, including office supplies, MRO, and professional services.
• Conduct negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost savings, improved service levels, and favourable contract terms.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitoring their performance.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide procurement solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within indirect procurement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist, with a focus on indirect materials.
• Demonstrated success in negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Good understanding of sourcing strategies and best practices for indirect spend.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
