Buyer - Indirect Spend

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Buyer to manage indirect spend categories for their operations in Liverpool, Merseyside . This critical role involves strategically sourcing and procuring a diverse range of non-production goods and services, such as IT, facilities management, and professional services. You will be responsible for optimizing spend, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring value for money across all indirect procurement activities. This position requires you to work full-time from our Liverpool office.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for various indirect spend categories.
• Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and potential suppliers.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
• Manage supplier performance and relationships to ensure service level agreements are met.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their requirements and provide procurement support.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procurement regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Buyer , specifically managing indirect spend.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage complex data sets.
• Familiarity with P2P (Procure-to-Pay) processes and systems.
• Good understanding of market dynamics for various indirect categories.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
