Our client is seeking an experienced Buyer specializing in Raw Materials to join their procurement team in Derby . Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure a variety of raw materials according to production schedules and quality specifications.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure supply continuity.
• Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
• Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supplier capabilities to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
• Process purchase orders, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
• Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality control teams to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Buyer , preferably with a focus on raw materials or manufacturing supplies.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• In-depth understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to analyze market data and make informed purchasing decisions.
