About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and proactive Buyer with a focus on Services procurement to join their team in Norwich . This role is essential for managing the acquisition of a wide range of services, from professional and consultancy services to facilities management and IT support. You will be responsible for identifying service needs, sourcing potential providers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services at optimal cost. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for various services categories.
- Develop sourcing strategies and conduct market research for service providers.
- Negotiate service level agreements (SLAs), pricing, and contract terms with suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and select appropriate service providers based on best value.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their service requirements and provide procurement expertise.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a buying or procurement role, with specific experience in sourcing services .
- Strong negotiation skills and understanding of contract law as it applies to services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder and supplier management.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze spending data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
