Buyer - Strategic Sourcing

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and assess market trends.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost savings and improve service levels.
• Develop and manage strategic sourcing strategies for key spend categories.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and manage supplier risk effectively.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide procurement support.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in purchasing, buying, or strategic sourcing.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with cost modelling.
• Familiarity with procurement best practices and supply chain management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with procurement software or ERP systems is a plus.
