Key Responsibilities

Calibration and Performance Verification

Carry out planned and scheduled calibration of medical simulators and associated measurement systems. Calibrate and verify parameters such as load, torque, displacement, position, temperature, flow and speed, depending on the equipment and application. Ensure calibration activities are undertaken using suitable, traceable reference equipment. Complete calibration work in accordance with applicable ISO, ASTM and other relevant testing standards. Interpret calibration results and determine whether equipment meets the required tolerances and performance criteria. Make appropriate mechanical, electrical or software adjustments where equipment falls outside the required specification. Complete post-calibration checks to confirm the correct and reliable operation of the equipment. Maintain accurate and fully traceable calibration records and certificates. Monitor calibration schedules and ensure equipment is calibrated within the required timescales.
