Carbon Capture Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Carbon Capture Project Manager to lead critical projects aimed at reducing industrial emissions, operating in a hybrid model from Bristol . This role is vital for developing and implementing innovative carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies. You will oversee all phases of project execution, from feasibility studies and design to construction and commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management within the energy or industrial sectors, with specific expertise in CCUS. You will contribute significantly to decarbonization efforts in the South West region and beyond, working within a forward-thinking organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of carbon capture projects .
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards.
• Manage project risks, issues, and stakeholder communications effectively.
• Liaise with technology providers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or similar) or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years focused on CCUS projects or large industrial energy projects.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion.
• Strong understanding of carbon capture technologies and processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
