About the Role
Our client is seeking compassionate and proactive Care Support Workers to enhance the independence of individuals within the Milton Keynes community. This role focuses on empowering clients to live fulfilling lives in their own homes by providing tailored support, encouragement, and practical assistance. You will be a key figure in helping clients maintain their independence, well-being, and connection to the community. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients in their homes, assisting with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Support clients in engaging with community activities, appointments, and social interactions to combat isolation.
- Administer medications as prescribed, adhering strictly to medication management policies.
- Monitor and report on client well-being, changes in condition, and any safeguarding concerns to the relevant supervisor.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support plan.
- Promote client autonomy and choice, respecting their dignity and privacy at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care or support role, particularly within domiciliary or community care.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to client dignity.
- Effective communication and listening skills.
- Ability to follow care plans and protocols accurately.
- Willingness to work flexibly to meet client needs, including some unsociable hours.
- Basic IT literacy for updating records and communicating with the team.
