We’re looking for committed and skilled Case Managers to join the Drive Project , an innovative programme that works with high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse to reduce harm, improve victim safety and support long-term behaviour change.

This is an opportunity to work directly with individuals whose behaviour poses a significant risk, helping them to take responsibility for their actions while working alongside specialist domestic abuse services to improve safety for victims, children and families.

About the Role

As a Drive Case Manager, you will work intensively with high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse for up to 12 months, supporting them to recognise and change abusive behaviours while holding them accountable for their actions.

Using the Drive “Support–Disrupt” approach, you will combine motivational engagement, risk management and coordinated multi-agency working to reduce the risk of further harm.

Working closely with Independent Domestic Violence Advisers (IDVAs), safeguarding professionals and partner agencies, you will develop tailored intervention plans, monitor risk and contribute to improved outcomes for victims, families and communities.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Manage a caseload of high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse, delivering intensive one-to-one interventions.
• Build professional relationships that encourage engagement while maintaining clear accountability for abusive behaviour.
• Complete comprehensive assessments of risk, need and motivation to inform intervention planning.
• Develop and deliver personalised support plans using the Drive “Support–Disrupt” model.
• Support individuals to address issues contributing to abusive behaviour, including housing, substance use, mental health and wider social needs.
• Work closely with IDVAs and safeguarding partners to review risk, develop safety plans and protect victims and children.
• Attend and contribute to MARAC and other multi-agency meetings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with statutory and voluntary sector partners.
• Act as a key point of contact for professionals involved in each case.
• Maintain accurate case records using the Drive case management system.
• Ensure all work complies with safeguarding, information sharing and data protection requirements.
• Participate in clinical supervision, case reviews, reflective practice and ongoing professional development.
• Represent the service at meetings, training events and community forums where appropriate.

About You

You’ll be passionate about reducing domestic abuse and committed to supporting meaningful and lasting behaviour change while prioritising the safety of victims and children.

You’ll have experience of:

• Working directly with vulnerable adults or individuals with complex needs.
• Working within safeguarding or public protection settings such as child protection, adult safeguarding, MARAC or MAPPA.
• Managing safeguarding concerns and applying safeguarding procedures.
• Working within multi-agency partnerships.
• Writing reports and presenting information to a variety of audiences.
• Managing conflict and responding effectively in challenging situations.
• Maintaining accurate records and meeting reporting deadlines.

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

• Working with perpetrators or victims of domestic abuse.
• Supporting people with complex or multiple needs.
• Mental health services.
• Substance misuse services.
• Using motivational interviewing, strengths-based approaches or pro-social modelling.

Knowledge

You will have a good understanding of:

• Domestic abuse and its impact on victims, children and families.
• Effective engagement and intervention with perpetrators of domestic abuse.
• Risk assessment, safeguarding and safety planning.
• The role of IDVA services and the MARAC process.
• Public protection arrangements and multi-agency working.
• Relevant legislation relating to safeguarding, information sharing and data protection.

Skills

You will be able to demonstrate:
