Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies for assigned spend areas, aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct thorough market analysis, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities within the supply base.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost savings, improved quality, and enhanced service levels.
- Manage and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment of procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Category Buyer or in a similar strategic sourcing role.
- Proven success in developing and executing category strategies and managing complex negotiations.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market data and financial information.
- Excellent understanding of supply chain management principles and supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency in procurement software and contract management tools.
