Category Manager - Indirect Procurement

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic Category Manager specializing in Indirect Procurement to join their dynamic team based in Belfast . Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for indirect spend areas, including IT, facilities, marketing, and professional services.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, tenders, and negotiations with key suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance, drive innovation, and mitigate risks.
• Conduct spend analysis and market intelligence to identify cost-saving opportunities and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, with a focus on indirect categories .
• Proven ability to develop and implement category management strategies.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience with e-procurement tools and systems.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
• Solid understanding of supply chain management principles.
