Operating remotely, this role is based out of Leeds and is pivotal in driving category growth and profitability through insightful analysis and effective retail partnerships. You will be responsible for developing compelling category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring our client's products are optimally positioned in the market. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies that align with overall business objectives, focusing on market share growth and profitability.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to identify opportunities and threats within the category.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and agreements.
- Develop and implement effective ranging, pricing, and promotional strategies in collaboration with retail partners.
- Ensure optimal product assortment and planogram compliance within retail environments.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create impactful campaigns that drive consumer demand and brand visibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; relevant Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in category management or a similar commercial role within the FMCG sector .
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing category strategies that have driven significant growth.
- Strong understanding of retail dynamics, shopper behavior, and market analysis.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively in a remote setting.
