About the Role

Our client, a dynamic force in the FMCG market, is looking for an experienced Category Manager to lead their exciting Snacks category. Based in Birmingham , you will be responsible for driving category growth, optimizing product assortment, and enhancing shopper engagement across all retail channels. This role requires a deep understanding of consumer behaviour, market dynamics, and a proven ability to develop and execute category strategies that deliver sustainable sales and profit growth, working closely with commercial, marketing, and supply chain teams to achieve shared objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a compelling category strategy that aligns with the company's overall commercial objectives.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for category growth and innovation.
• Manage the product portfolio within the category, including assortment optimization, pricing strategies, and promotional planning.
• Build strong relationships with key retail partners, presenting category insights and strategies effectively.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop impactful in-store activations and marketing campaigns.
• Ensure optimal stock levels and efficient supply chain management for the category.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience (4+ years) as a Category Manager or similar role within the FMCG sector .
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing category growth strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
