About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and organized Catering Event Planner to join their team in Leeds . This role involves conceptualizing, planning, and executing a wide range of catering events, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision and translate it into delicious food and impeccable service, managing all aspects from initial consultation to post-event follow-up. This position requires a blend of creativity, logistical prowess, and strong client-facing skills, with a hybrid work model that balances office collaboration and remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their event needs, preferences, and budget, developing customized catering proposals.
• Plan and coordinate all aspects of catering events, including menu selection, staffing, equipment, and logistical arrangements.
• Liaise with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure menu accuracy, quality, and timely preparation of food.
• Oversee event execution on-site, ensuring smooth service delivery, client satisfaction, and adherence to timelines.
• Manage event budgets effectively, tracking expenses and ensuring profitability.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and client feedback sessions to identify areas for improvement and build long-term relationships.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Event Planner or Catering Coordinator, with a strong portfolio of successful events.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management abilities.
• Knowledge of food and beverage trends, menu planning, and catering best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
• Familiarity with event planning software and tools is a plus.
