About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and meticulous Catering Event Planner to join their team in Norwich . This role is central to designing and executing memorable catering experiences for a variety of events, from corporate functions to private celebrations. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision and translate it into seamless catering plans, coordinating all logistical aspects from menu selection to on-site execution. This hybrid role allows for flexibility, combining office-based planning with on-site event supervision, ensuring a hands-on approach to client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to define event requirements, budgets, and catering preferences.
• Develop customised menus and service proposals, ensuring they meet client expectations and dietary needs.
• Coordinate all logistical aspects of catering for events, including staffing, equipment, and venue liaison.
• Oversee the smooth execution of catering services on event days, ensuring high standards of presentation and service.
• Manage supplier relationships for linens, floral arrangements, and other event-specific needs.
• Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.

  Requirements
• Proven experience in event planning, coordination, or a similar role within the catering or hospitality industry.
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail in event logistics .
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with event management software.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends as dictated by event schedules.
