Charity Events Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and creative Charity Events Officer to join their team based in Belfast . This role is key to planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of fundraising events that are crucial for sustaining our work in the Charity & Voluntary sector . You will be responsible for managing all aspects of event logistics, from conception to completion, ensuring successful and impactful occasions that engage supporters and raise vital funds. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute a calendar of fundraising events, including galas, sponsored walks, and community gatherings.
• Develop event budgets, manage expenditure, and ensure financial targets are met.
• Source venues, suppliers, and entertainment, negotiating contracts to secure best value.
• Coordinate event logistics, including staffing, volunteer management, and on-site support.
• Develop and implement event marketing and promotional strategies to maximize attendance and engagement.
• Evaluate event success, gather feedback, and produce post-event reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event management , preferably within the Charity & Voluntary sector or a similar fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• Proficiency in event marketing and promotion techniques.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and be flexible with working hours, including some evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
