My client is a sixth-generation, independent family-run business with a long-standing reputation within the local community.

The business includes a busy café serving freshly prepared food , creating a welcoming environment for customers throughout the week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef looking for a genuine daytime role within an established and well-loved independent business.

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Chef to work alongside the Head Chef and support the day-to-day running of the café kitchen.

You will prepare fresh food to a consistently high standard while working as part of a small and friendly kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook freshly made food to a high standard
• Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day kitchen operation
• Maintain consistency, quality and presentation
• Assist with menu preparation and seasonal dishes
• Support stock rotation and minimise food waste
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and efficient
• Work positively as part of a small kitchen team
• 1 Head Chef
• 1 Chef – this position
• Front of House team
• Pot Wash

The ideal candidate will be:

• An experienced Sous Chef or Senior Chef
• Passionate about fresh food
• Reliable and organised
• Able to work well as part of a small team
• Positive and hardworking
• Consistent in maintaining food quality and hygiene standards
• Happy working daytime hours and alternating weekends
