About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic Chemical Engineer to spearhead New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives at their facility in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is critical for bridging the gap between laboratory innovation and commercial manufacturing, ensuring that new chemical products are launched successfully, efficiently, and safely. You will work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to manage the scale-up process, validate manufacturing methods, and troubleshoot initial production challenges. This is a prime opportunity for a proactive engineer to make a significant impact in Staffordshire's industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the scale-up of new chemical products from pilot plant to full commercial production.
- Develop and execute process validation plans, ensuring products meet quality and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges during the NPI phase, ensuring smooth transition to manufacturing.
- Create and optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch records for new processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance.
- Conduct process risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for new products and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical process engineering, with a focus on new product introduction or scale-up.
- Proven experience in managing projects and working effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of GMP/GLP principles, process validation, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and process control methodologies is a plus.
