About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Chemical Engineer to join their team in Liverpool , focusing on new product introduction (NPI) . This role is essential for successfully bringing innovative chemical products from the development phase into full-scale manufacturing. You will be responsible for process design, validation, and optimization to ensure smooth transitions and efficient production of novel materials. Working within a hybrid model, you will collaborate extensively with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to achieve timely and successful product launches within the competitive chemical market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the process engineering aspects of new product introduction projects, from pilot to commercial scale.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new chemical products, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and quality.
- Conduct process validation studies and generate comprehensive reports to support regulatory submissions and product release.
- Collaborate with R&D scientists to translate laboratory procedures into robust manufacturing protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges arising during the NPI phase.
- Define process parameters, material requirements, and equipment specifications for new production lines.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering .
- 3-5 years of experience in process development, scale-up, or NPI within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of process design, validation principles, and manufacturing operations.
- Experience with analytical techniques and quality control methods relevant to chemical production.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, balancing office-based and remote tasks.
