About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer with a focus on process optimization to join their team in Liverpool . This role is essential for improving the efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness of existing chemical manufacturing processes. You will utilize data analysis, simulation tools, and hands-on experimentation to identify and implement improvements. This hybrid position allows for collaborative on-site work and flexible remote periods for analysis and reporting, supporting a better work-life balance in a key industrial hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing chemical processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement in efficiency and output.
- Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, including waste reduction and energy saving initiatives.
- Utilize process simulation software to model scenarios and predict the impact of changes.
- Conduct pilot studies and experiments to validate proposed process improvements.
- Collaborate with plant operations and maintenance teams to ensure successful implementation of changes.
- Document process changes, operating procedures, and performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
- At least 5 years of experience in process engineering, with a strong emphasis on optimization.
- Proven experience in analyzing and improving chemical manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD) and data analysis software.
- Strong understanding of chemical thermodynamics, kinetics, and fluid mechanics.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for a hybrid setting.
