About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Chemical Engineer to join their remote team, focusing on Process Optimization . This role is critical for enhancing the efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness of existing chemical manufacturing processes across the company's diverse operations. You will leverage data analytics, simulation tools, and deep process knowledge to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and energy consumption.
- Develop and implement process modifications to optimize performance and reduce operational costs.
- Utilize process simulation software to model scenarios and evaluate potential improvements.
- Collaborate with plant operations teams, R&D, and management to implement optimization strategies.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs and operating procedures.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies for process optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering, with a significant focus on optimization and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Strong data analysis skills, including statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with performance monitoring and KPI development in manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for effective remote teamwork.
