Chemical Engineer - Process Optimization

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and optimise existing chemical processes to improve efficiency, yield, and quality.
• Develop and implement new process designs, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for proposed process changes or new technologies.
• Collaborate with production, R&D, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed process documentation, including P&IDs, operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports on process performance and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a chemical process engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of relevant UK and international safety and environmental standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
