Chemical Engineer - Project Execution

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Chemical Engineer to join their project execution team in Nottingham . This role is focused on bringing new and improved chemical processes from design through to successful implementation in their manufacturing facilities. You will manage project tasks, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys managing the practical aspects of project delivery and contributing to tangible improvements in chemical production.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute chemical engineering projects, from conceptualization to commissioning.
• Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., R&D, Operations, Maintenance) and external vendors.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and track progress against them.
• Ensure that all project designs and installations comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare project documentation, including scopes of work, technical specifications, and handover reports.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during project implementation and provide technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• 3-5 years of experience in project engineering or project management within the chemical industry.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, equipment, and safety principles.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
