About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly capable Chemical Engineer with strong project management skills to lead key initiatives from their Oxford location. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of chemical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resources, and mitigating project risks. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities, essential for driving complex projects to completion within our Oxford facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of chemical engineering projects, from initiation to closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Coordinate activities of engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate project progress, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders effectively.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering .
- Proven experience in project management within the chemical or related process industries.
- Strong understanding of chemical processes, equipment, and project lifecycle.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding environment.
