Chemical Engineer - Project Management

About the Role

This role will involve overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of complex chemical engineering projects, from conception to commissioning. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful delivery and adherence to quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of chemical engineering projects, including feasibility studies, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these objectives.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing any challenges that may arise.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the UK.
• Prepare regular project status reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Accredited degree in Chemical Engineering .
• Proven experience in project management within the chemical or process industry.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with engineering design software and project management platforms is a plus.
