About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Chemical Engineer with a specialization in scale-up to join their team in Nottingham . This role is dedicated to bridging the gap between laboratory-scale innovation and full-scale commercial production. You will be responsible for developing, validating, and implementing robust processes that ensure successful and efficient product manufacturing. This is a crucial role for driving product realization and requires a strong understanding of chemical engineering principles applied to scaling challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize chemical processes for scale-up from pilot to commercial production.
- Conduct pilot plant trials, gather data, and analyze results to refine process parameters.
- Design and specify process equipment required for larger-scale manufacturing.
- Ensure all scale-up activities adhere to strict safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, and engineering teams throughout the scale-up process.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for process validation and technology transfer.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in chemical process development and scale-up.
- Proven experience in operating and troubleshooting pilot plant equipment.
- Strong understanding of process safety and risk assessment during scale-up.
- Familiarity with process modeling and simulation tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate experimental data into practical engineering solutions.
