About the Role

Our client is looking for an accomplished and strategic Chemical Engineering Manager to lead their dedicated team in Bristol . This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of chemical engineering within the organization, driving innovation, ensuring operational excellence, and managing a team of highly skilled engineers. You will play a key part in shaping the company's technological direction and ensuring the safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of our chemical facilities. This is an on-site leadership position requiring strong managerial skills and a deep understanding of chemical processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of chemical engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of all chemical processes and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget, allocating resources effectively to meet strategic objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all engineering functions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with senior management to define the long-term vision and technical roadmap for the company.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in chemical engineering, with at least 4 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated success in leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Expertise in process design, scale-up, and optimization.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing departmental budgets.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
