About the Role

Our client seeks an experienced and strategic Chemical Plant Manager to lead operations at their facility in Plymouth . This pivotal on-site role involves overseeing all aspects of plant production, safety, environmental compliance, and personnel management. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing plant performance, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all plant operations, including production, maintenance, engineering, and EHS functions.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to meet production targets, quality standards, and cost objectives.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead and mentor the plant management team and workforce to foster a high-performance culture.
• Oversee the plant budget, manage capital expenditure projects, and optimize resource allocation.
• Drive initiatives for process improvement, efficiency gains, and waste reduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field; an MBA is a plus.
• Significant experience (10+ years) in chemical plant operations management.
• Proven track record in safety leadership and environmental compliance.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L for an industrial facility.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
