About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Process Analyst to join their operations team in Sheffield . This role is essential for monitoring, analyzing, and improving the efficiency and performance of chemical production processes. You will work closely with plant engineers and operators to gather and interpret process data, identify trends, and recommend data-driven adjustments to optimize output, quality, and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and analyze process data from plant operations, using statistical methods to identify trends and anomalies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for chemical processes and report on deviations from targets.
- Develop and maintain process databases and reporting tools.
- Assist in troubleshooting process issues by analyzing operational data and collaborating with plant engineers.
- Recommend process adjustments and improvements based on data analysis to enhance efficiency, yield, and quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support the implementation of new process control strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in process analysis, data interpretation, or a similar role within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Minitab, or similar statistical packages).
- Familiarity with process instrumentation and control systems is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Good communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present data clearly.
