About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Chemical Process Development Scientist to contribute to their cutting-edge research and development efforts in Brighton . This role focuses on translating laboratory discoveries into viable, scalable manufacturing processes for new chemical products. You will be involved in designing experiments, optimizing reaction conditions, and performing analyses to ensure process efficiency, safety, and reproducibility. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to optimize chemical synthesis routes and reaction conditions for new products.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for process monitoring and product characterization.
- Conduct bench-scale and pilot-scale trials to assess process feasibility and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges encountered during process development and scale-up.
- Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and interpret results to guide process improvements.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Proven experience in organic synthesis , process chemistry, or a related area of chemical development.
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment and analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, NMR, MS).
- Experience with statistical analysis software and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Understanding of process safety principles and scale-up considerations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
