Chemical Process Engineer - Specialty Chemicals

Our client is seeking a skilled Chemical Process Engineer to contribute to their operations within the specialty chemicals sector in Glasgow . This role focuses on optimizing and troubleshooting the manufacturing processes for a range of high-value chemical products. You will be instrumental in enhancing process efficiency, ensuring product quality, and maintaining strict safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators for chemical production processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase yield, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
• Develop and implement process modifications, working with engineering and operations teams.
• Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings and recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within the chemical industry, preferably specialty chemicals.
• Strong understanding of chemical unit operations and process control.
• Proficiency in process simulation software is advantageous.
• Experience with process safety management (PSM) principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, suitable for both remote and on-site work.
