About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Chemical Process Engineer to join their innovative team in Manchester . Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine chemical process designs, creating detailed P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and equipment specifications.
- Conduct thorough process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement safety measures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor plant operations, analyse performance data, and identify opportunities for process optimisation and cost reduction.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and equipment malfunctions, implementing effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and maintenance, to support project goals.
- Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and operational manuals for new and existing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within the chemical manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen Plus or HYSYS.
- Strong understanding of chemical thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, and separation processes.
- Experience with safety protocols and regulatory requirements in the chemical industry.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, adept at working in a hybrid model.
