About the Role
Our client seeks a skilled Chemical Process Engineer to enhance their manufacturing capabilities in Manchester . This role is central to ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our chemical production lines. You will be involved in optimizing existing processes, designing modifications, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a practical understanding of chemical engineering principles, working collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to achieve production targets and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a key industrial hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze process performance data to identify areas for improvement in yield, efficiency, and quality.
- Design and implement process modifications and upgrades to enhance operational performance and safety.
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including P&IDs, operating procedures, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations across all plant operations.
- Support troubleshooting efforts for process upsets and equipment failures, implementing long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams on new product introduction and process validation.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5-8 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or process engineering environment.
- Proficiency in process control systems, data analysis tools, and simulation software.
- Solid understanding of chemical thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat/mass transfer.
- Experience with HAZOP analysis and other process safety methodologies.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in Manchester .
