Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Chemical Process Engineer to join their vibrant team in Brighton . This role is central to optimizing our client's manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of chemical processes, from conceptualization and design to implementation and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new chemical processes and upgrade existing ones to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Conduct process simulations and feasibility studies to evaluate potential improvements and new technologies.
• Monitor process performance, analyze data, and implement solutions to optimize yield, reduce waste, and minimize energy consumption.
• Ensure all processes comply with stringent health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Prepare detailed engineering specifications, P&IDs, and operating procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, R&D, and maintenance, to resolve technical challenges.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in process engineering, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS) and data analysis techniques.
• Solid understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment in East Sussex .
