About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Chemical Process Engineer to join their innovative team in Coventry . This role is crucial for supporting the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes across various projects. You will work closely with experienced engineers and chemists, contributing to the successful execution of plant upgrades and new installations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in chemical engineering principles and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all processes meet stringent safety, environmental, and efficiency standards within a collaborative, hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and modification of chemical processes, including P&ID development and equipment specification.
- Conduct process simulations and data analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Support pilot plant trials and scale-up activities, gathering and interpreting performance data.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and equipment malfunctions, working with operations to implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a process engineering role within the chemical industry.
- Familiarity with process simulation software and P&ID drafting tools.
- Good understanding of fundamental chemical engineering principles and unit operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team in Coventry .
