Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Chemical Process Engineer to join their team in Coventry . This role involves contributing to the development and optimization of chemical processes, working within a dynamic operational environment. You will have the opportunity to engage with both on-site and remote team members, balancing collaborative office days with the flexibility of remote work. You will play a key part in ensuring our production processes meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, modification, and troubleshooting of chemical processes.
• Conduct process data analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs and operating procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Support pilot plant trials and scale-up activities.
• Collaborate with the production team to resolve operational issues and optimize plant performance.

Requirements

• BEng or MEng in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 1-3 years of relevant industry experience in process engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of fundamental chemical engineering principles and unit operations.
• Experience with process safety management principles.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team .
