About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Chemical Process Engineer to join their innovative team in Cambridge . This role focuses on the design, development, and optimisation of chemical processes for a range of cutting-edge applications. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new chemical processes, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and safety.
• Optimise existing processes to improve yield, reduce costs, and minimise environmental impact.
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical reviews, and process simulations.
• Prepare detailed process documentation, including P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and equipment specifications.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D, operations, and project management teams to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

• BEng or MEng in Chemical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in process design and development within the chemical industry.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
• Solid understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
