Chemical Process Optimisation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse plant operational data to identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency gains.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve process yield, reduce energy consumption, and minimise waste.
• Conduct feasibility studies for process modifications and upgrades.
• Utilise process modelling and simulation tools to test and validate optimisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with plant operations and engineering teams to implement and monitor optimisation projects.
• Ensure all optimisation activities are aligned with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven experience in process optimisation, troubleshooting, and performance improvement within the chemical industry.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience with process simulation software is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective collaboration in a remote setting.
