About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-driven Chemical Process Optimisation Engineer to enhance efficiency and performance across their operations in Sheffield . This role is focused on analyzing existing chemical processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing data-driven improvements to boost yield, reduce waste, and lower operational costs. You will work closely with plant engineers and production teams, utilizing advanced analytical tools and methodologies to achieve tangible improvements in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze process data to identify inefficiencies, deviations, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, focusing on yield, throughput, and energy consumption.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis techniques to monitor process stability.
- Collaborate with plant engineers to troubleshoot process issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies for process upgrades and new technology implementation.
- Document all process changes, improvements, and their impact on key performance indicators.
Requirements
- BEng or BSc in Chemical Engineering .
- 4+ years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on optimization and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, Excel, Python).
- Experience with process simulation and modeling.
- Strong understanding of chemical plant operations and safety principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
