Chief Operating Officer - Sports & Fitness Group

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding international Sports & Fitness Group , is seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead its global operations remotely. This executive role will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the business, including strategic planning, operational efficiency, and P&L management, driving growth and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery across diverse markets. The COO will play a critical role in shaping the company's future direction and operational excellence from a remote-first standpoint, leveraging extensive experience in the Leisure & Sports industry to achieve ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's operational strategy, aligning with overall business objectives and growth targets.
• Oversee global operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance across all departments and geographical regions.
• Manage and optimize the company's P&L, driving profitability and financial performance.
• Lead and mentor a global team of operational leaders, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and innovation.
• Identify and implement operational improvements, best practices, and new technologies to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee supply chain management, logistics, and facility operations where applicable.
• Drive strategic partnerships and business development initiatives from an operational perspective.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, with a significant portion in the Leisure & Sports or a related industry.
• Proven track record of successfully scaling operations for international businesses.
• Demonstrated experience in P&L management, strategic planning, and operational efficiency improvement.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing large, distributed, and remote teams effectively.
