About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead their technology vision and execution from their headquarters in Glasgow . As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for setting the company's technological direction, overseeing all aspects of IT infrastructure, software development, and technological innovation. This role requires a visionary leader who can translate business strategy into technological roadmaps, foster a culture of engineering excellence, and ensure the company remains at the forefront of technological advancement in its industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company's overall technology strategy, vision, and roadmap.
• Lead and manage all technology functions, including software development, IT operations, cybersecurity, and data management.
• Drive technological innovation and identify opportunities to leverage new technologies for business advantage.
• Oversee the development and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure technology systems and platforms.
• Manage the IT budget, including capital expenditures and operational expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant technology regulations and data privacy laws.
• Collaborate with other executives to align technology strategy with business goals.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in senior technology leadership roles, such as CTO, VP of Engineering, or similar.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful technology strategies.
• Deep understanding of modern software development practices, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data architecture.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience managing large technology budgets and cross-functional technology teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
