Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead their technological vision and execution. This is a critical, fully remote executive position, allowing the CTO to operate from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for setting the company's technology direction, overseeing all aspects of software development, infrastructure, and IT operations, and driving technological innovation. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of emerging technologies, a proven track record in scaling technology teams, and exceptional leadership qualities essential for guiding a remote-first engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company's technology strategy and roadmap, aligning with business objectives.
• Lead and manage all aspects of the technology department, including software engineering, IT operations, and cybersecurity.
• Drive innovation by exploring and implementing new technologies to enhance products and services.
• Build, mentor, and manage high-performing, remote engineering and IT teams.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the company's technology infrastructure.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to define product strategy and technology investments.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in senior technology leadership roles, such as CTO, VP of Engineering, or similar.
• Proven track record of successfully scaling technology teams and platforms in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep understanding of cloud computing, software development methodologies, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience in developing and managing technology budgets and strategic IT planning.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
