About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and passionate Child Development Officer to join their progressive childcare team in Norwich . This role plays a critical part in supporting the early education and development of young children, ensuring they receive the best possible start in life. You will work collaboratively with educators and families, assessing developmental needs and implementing targeted strategies. The position offers a hybrid working model, combining essential on-site engagement with children with flexible remote responsibilities for planning, reporting, and professional development, providing a dynamic and modern approach to childcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess children's developmental progress against established milestones and frameworks.
• Plan and deliver targeted interventions and educational activities to support individual needs.
• Provide guidance and support to parents and families on child development topics.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and effective approach to childcare.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of children's progress and assessments.
• Undertake remote administrative tasks, reporting, and communication as part of the hybrid role.

Requirements

• Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or a related field.
• Proven experience in assessing and supporting child development in an early years setting.
• In-depth knowledge of child psychology and developmental milestones.
• Strong observation, assessment, and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse families.
• Adaptability to work effectively across both on-site and remote settings.
