Childcare Assistant (Toddler Room)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and caring Childcare Assistant to focus on their Toddler Room in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is fundamental in providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for toddlers during their crucial developmental stages. You will work closely with the room leader and other practitioners to implement daily routines, engaging play activities, and ensure the overall well-being of each child. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for toddlers.
• Support the Room Leader in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Attend to the personal care needs of toddlers, including feeding, napping, and hygiene.
• Observe children's development and contribute to their individual learning journals.
• Maintain excellent communication with parents and carers regarding their child's progress and day.
• Ensure the room is clean, tidy, and well-resourced at all times.

Requirements

• A Level 2 qualification in Childcare and Education or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience working with toddlers or in an early years setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Genuine passion for childcare and child development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
