Childcare Centre Supervisor

About the Role

Our client, a well-regarded childcare centre in Stoke-on-Trent , is seeking an experienced and dynamic Childcare Centre Supervisor to oversee one of their busy rooms. You will be responsible for leading a team of practitioners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of child development, and a commitment to creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children. The successful candidate will have a key role in curriculum planning, staff supervision, and maintaining excellent relationships with parents.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of childcare practitioners, providing guidance and support.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality early years education and care, adhering to the EYFS framework.
• Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that cater to the diverse needs of children.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and safeguarding within the designated room.
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, communicating effectively about their child's progress.
• Conduct regular staff appraisals and identify training needs for the team.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education or equivalent.
• Significant experience working within the early years sector, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding policies, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team of childcare professionals.
• A genuine commitment to promoting child welfare and development.
