Childcare Development Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Childcare Development Officer to join their team in Cambridge . This role focuses on supporting the quality of childcare provision across various settings, providing guidance and resources to practitioners and managers. You will play a key part in promoting best practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering professional development within the early years sector. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence and improve childcare services across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support to childcare providers on curriculum, pedagogy, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for early years professionals.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of childcare services, identifying areas for improvement.
• Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework .
• Develop and share resources and best practice guidance with childcare settings.
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including local authorities and Ofsted.

Requirements

• Relevant Level 4 or above qualification in Early Years Education or a related field.
• Significant experience in a senior role within the early years sector.
• Thorough knowledge of the EYFS framework , safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied workload.
• Experience in delivering training or facilitating professional development sessions.
