Childcare Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a passionate and energetic Childcare Practitioner to join their early years setting in Portsmouth . You will be dedicated to creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where young children can learn, play, and develop to their full potential. This role involves working closely with children aged 0-5, planning and delivering engaging activities that support their developmental milestones across all areas of learning. You will collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care and education are met, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the nursery. This is a wonderful chance to contribute to the crucial early development of children in Hampshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a varied and age-appropriate curriculum, adhering to early years foundation stage (EYFS) principles.
• Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for all children.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, identifying any developmental needs or concerns.
• Build positive and effective relationships with children, parents, and carers.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene, health, and safety are maintained throughout the nursery.
• Support and guide children through transitions, routines, and social interactions.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• Previous experience working within an early years setting is essential.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
• Excellent communication, observation, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
• A passion for early childhood education and a nurturing disposition.
